Our Grey Clay Mask is the oldest beauty secret. With versatile uses its main function is to absorb impurities. The clay is called Ghassoul or Rhassoul and comes from the Arabic word “rassala,” which means “washing”. Ghassoul clay comes from the only known place in the world where the deposits of this mineral can be found – in the Middle Atlas Mountains and in the Moulouya Valley. For centuries, it has been locally mined from ancient deposits.

Ghassoul clay has a variety of applications (as a soap, shampoo, face and body mask, for SPA and Wellness treatments).

One product – plenty of healthy choices…

  • Clay shampoo: thanks to its foaming and degreasing properties, yet gentle action, the Ghassoul clay can replace your shampoo and be used to wash and condition your hair. It effectively washes both hair and scalp, without damaging the hair’s outer layer and keratin fibres. After using the Ghassoul clay your hair will become shiny, soft and bouncy. It improves the condition of each hair at the source, i.e., in the scalp, where it effectively absorbs fatty acids and other impurities without disturbing its biological balance and the structure of the hair.
  • Clay body care (as a mask or compress): in its natural form Ghassoul Clay when mixed with tepid water turns into a muddy paste, which is applied to selected body parts (face, ankles, calf, thighs, hips, buttocks, abdomen, etc.) For the best results wet your skin and stimulate the circulation with a horsehair glove massage. Leave it to dry and rinse with water.
  • Body scrub containing this clay will perfectly smooth and firm the skin by removing dead skin cells, it will cleanse the skin and make it extremely fresh and rejuvenated. After the treatment, the skin will be clean as never before and devoid of usually noticeable imperfections.
  • We suggest you also try wonderfully effective mud baths with the Ghassoul clay (recommended for stretch marks and cellulite treatment).

  • Absorbs impurities
  • Multiple usage like soap, shampoo, mask

  • Patch testing recommended
  • Dermatologically tested
  • The clay can be used for sensitive skin with visible capillaries and prone to allergies ● Hypoallergenic and extremely gentle even for very sensitive skin.

How to apply:

Example recipes for treatments you can make at home:

Face and body cleansing mask:

50 ml Ghassoul clay

10 ml honey

10 ml freshly squeezed lemon juice

Mix the ingredients with water until you get a smooth, delicate “paste”.

Apply to your face or body and leave for approx. 15 minutes, but do not let it dry (the floral waters in atomisers we offer in our range come very useful here), and rinse thoroughly.

The skin will become velvety smooth and will have a delicate fresh scent.

Scalp mask:

50 ml Ghassoul clay

1 egg yolk

Add a few drops of tepid water until you get a smooth dough, and add yolk. Apply the mixture to your hair, starting from the scalp and spreading it to the tip of your hair. Leave for 15 minutes and rinse. Hair will become bouncy and shiny like never before.

I love this clay. It’s good to use as a dry shampoo, mask and you can make shampoo with aloe vera and the clay.
